La generación de los ochentas ubicamos a David Byrne, el frontman de los Talking Heads con himnos de su primera época como Burning down the House o Once in a Lifetime.
Aparte de músico, pocos lo conocemosen sus diversas facetas como fotógrafo, cineasta, actor y escritor (chequen sus libros en Amazon como “How music works” o “Bicycle Diaries”.
En fin, el día de hoy, curioseando en YouTube, me topé con esta pequeña gran maravilla “One Fine Day”.
Esta pieza salió por primera vez en su album “Everything that happens will happen today” (2008) para ser reinventada 10 años después en su show de Brodway, “American Utopia”.
La versión que pueden disfrutar a continuación se presentó en el Show de Jimmy Kimmelcon el Coro Juvenil de Brooklyn, Nueva York.
Los invito a que se den permiso de escuchar esta canción con calma, entrecerrando los ojos y poniendo atención únicamente a la letra. Este podría ser el perfecto himno a un optimismo inteligente, con ojos abiertos. En esta época de incertidumbre, con tantas muertes culpa del Coronavirus , podemos recordar el último verso y pensar con esperanza que…
